New Year's gets interesting

Mia looked around the party. It was the annual McMahon New Year's Eve party.

Dave stood next to her, his hand in his pocket feeling the black box he bought a few days ago.

Paul glared at Dave.

Stephanie sighed and looked at Paul. "She's happy."

Mia looked up at him. "You okay babe?"

"I know, but I dont like him", Paul said.

"yeah im fine".

"You think my dad liked you?"

"no", paul trailed off.

"Then stop." Steph said. "She's happy with him."

Mia talked with some friends.

Paul shook his head.

Dave was nervous.

Mia looked up at him.


Steph sighed.

after about an hour dave was ready.

"Mia can I talk to you".

She put down her drink and nodded. "Sure."

"I wanna ask you something".

"Okay you want to talk out on the balcony?"

"right here is fine. Mia I love you and would do anything for you. will you make me that happiess man and marry me", Dave said getting down on one knee, and showing the ring.

Paul was shocked.

Mia looked at him with wide eyes.

Everyone was looking at the two.

She smiled. "Yes!" She hugged his neck and kissed him.

Dave slipped the ring on her finger and kissed her.

"What the hell", Paul said.

Mia sighed.

Dave looked at Paul. "I love your daughter".

She looked at her dad.

Paul looked at Stephanie and sighed

Mia went to her dad. "Dad please don't be like this. I've been with him for five years. All five years he's treated me well."

Paul looked down." You love him dont you".

Mia nodded. "Yeah dad I do. I love him alot."

Paul shook his head. "fine".

"Because your so dead set against anything with me and dealing with Dave."
